Terms of Service

These Terms of Service apply to purchases made through ProSigns Safety, operated by ProSigns Ltd, Dunedin, New Zealand.

By placing an order through our website, you agree to the following terms.

1. Products & Orders

We make every effort to ensure product descriptions, sizes, materials, images and pricing displayed on our website are accurate.

Customers are responsible for checking the product, size, material, quantity and other options selected before completing an order.

Many of our signs are manufactured to order. Once production has commenced, an order may not be able to be changed or cancelled.

If you notice an error after placing your order, please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to assist before production begins.

2. Pricing & Payment

All prices are displayed in New Zealand dollars (NZD).

GST will be displayed and charged as indicated during the purchasing and checkout process.

Payment must be completed using one of the payment methods available through our website.

We reserve the right to correct genuine pricing, product or website errors. If an error affects an order you have already placed, we will contact you before proceeding where appropriate.

3. Sign Materials & Sizes

Our safety signs are available in the materials and sizes specified on each product page.

Customers are responsible for selecting a product and material suitable for their intended location and application.

Product dimensions may be subject to small manufacturing tolerances.

If you are unsure which material, size or sign type is appropriate, please contact us before ordering.

4. Product Images & Colours

Product images and illustrations are provided as an accurate representation of our products wherever possible.

However, colours displayed on computer screens and mobile devices can vary from the colour of the finished printed product.

Minor variations in colour, finish, positioning and manufacturing may occur and are not necessarily considered a product fault.

5. Custom & Personalised Signage

Where we provide custom, personalised or modified signage, additional terms may apply.

If artwork approval is required, the customer is responsible for checking all information before approval, including:

spelling and wording;
dimensions and quantities;
colours;
logos and artwork;
contact details; and
any other information included in the design.

Once artwork has been approved and production has commenced, changes may incur additional charges.

Customers supplying logos, photographs or other artwork confirm that they have permission to reproduce and use that material.

6. Production & Availability

Some products are manufactured to order at our Dunedin premises.

Production and dispatch timeframes shown on our website are estimates unless expressly stated otherwise.

While we aim to manufacture and dispatch orders promptly, delays may occasionally occur due to material availability, production requirements, freight delays or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

If there is a significant issue affecting your order, we will endeavour to contact you.

7. Shipping & Delivery

Shipping charges are calculated according to the delivery options and rates available at checkout.

Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery information.

Delivery timeframes are estimates and may be affected by freight providers, location, weather and other circumstances outside our control.

8. Returns, Faults & Refunds

Because many of our products are manufactured to order, we generally do not accept returns for change of mind or where a customer has ordered the incorrect size, material, quantity or product.

This does not affect your rights under applicable New Zealand consumer law.

If an item arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible so we can assess and resolve the issue.

9. Installation & Use

Unless installation is specifically included in your purchase, products supplied through our online store are provided on a supply-only basis.

Customers are responsible for ensuring signs are installed securely and appropriately for their location and intended use.

The customer is responsible for determining whether a particular sign, wording, size, material, mounting method or location meets any legal, regulatory, workplace or site-specific requirements applicable to them.

If you require advice regarding a particular signage application, please contact us before ordering.

10. Website Use

You may use our website for legitimate personal or business purchasing and information purposes.

You must not misuse the website, attempt to interfere with its operation, copy content for unauthorised commercial purposes or use the website for unlawful activities.

Product designs, photographs, graphics, branding and other original website content remain the property of ProSigns Ltd or their respective rights holders.

11. Liability

To the extent permitted by New Zealand law, ProSigns Ltd will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use, installation or misuse of products supplied through our website.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under New Zealand law.

12. New Zealand Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit rights available under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, Fair Trading Act 1986, or other applicable New Zealand legislation.

Where products are acquired for business purposes, the Consumer Guarantees Act may not apply where the parties have lawfully agreed to contract out of its provisions.
